Basin Complex Fire Overlay Files - Support Ended 2008-07-21.

STEP #1 - Add the Basin Fire overlay files to Google Earth:

Files without maps will open in Google Maps! Just cut and paste the link into Search.

  • Full Operations Map 2008-07-23:
    Ops Map (330 KB) Open in Google Earth. If you get a Red X instead of the map see this work-around procedure.
  • Basin Fire Operations 2008-07-23 (175 KB) Simple Operations Map with most of the information. Recommend as Network Link.

  • Official Info - direct from Incident Command. They haven't been maintaining the information so this link is removed for now. The Incident Command could be showing you in real time what is happening at each location. It could be far more informative than their public maps and community meetings. Someday.
  • InciWeb official incident notices - recommend as Network Link and refresh automatically. Unfortunately it is frequently off-line.

Infrared and perimeter overlay files - Support Ended 21 July 2008:

    Perimeter and other heat information from fly-overs. Click and open in Google Earth or Maps. No need to make these Network Links.

  • 2008-07-19 IR maps
  • 2008-07-18 perimeter map
  • 2008-07-17 perimeter map
  • The Infrared file names include the date (2008 07 10) and the time of the flight such as 2053 being 8:53 PM MDT (Mountain Daylight Time).
